Tiffany Knearem

QUALITATIVE USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCHER

Hello! I'm a PhD Candidate in my fourth year at Penn State, where I'm a member of the College of Information Sciences and Technology's Collaboration and Innovation Lab. I'm working under the supervision of Dr. John M. Carroll.  My primary research focus is on understanding and enabling community innovation through information and communication technologies. I value an inclusive, sustainable, human-centered approach to design. Prior to entering Penn State, I spent time in industry at Silicon Valley, where I worked in operations & project management. Before that, I taught English abroad in Japan through the JET Program. My educational background is in the humanities, having received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and East Asian Languages and Cultures from the University of Kansas.
